Tel Tito Responds to Eyal Golan Defamation Suit After Leaving 'Big Brother'
Tel Tito, 25, who was voted out of the Israeli reality show "Big Brother" on Saturday night, addressed for the first time this morning the defamation lawsuit filed against her by singer Eyal Golan. In a post on X, she wrote, "How did I not delete tweets before? Shema Yisrael."
Golan sent Tito a legal demand letter about two months ago after a series of old posts on her X account resurfaced. In one tweet from late 2024, she referred to the "Games of Company" affair involving Golan and his father and wrote, "Eyal Golan is a pedophile. Consent, no consent, rape, no rape, first and foremost he and his father are pedophiles. And yes, sexual relations with minors who are under the care of welfare services is sexual exploitation that also led to rape."
Golan learned of the tweets after a March post on Pplus' Instagram page while Tito was still inside the "Big Brother" house, and decided to sue her for defamation for 200,000 shekels. According to the claim, the posts were described as false and defamatory statements intended to harm him and portray him negatively.
The lawsuit said the tweets were not legitimate opinion but unequivocal factual claims accusing Golan of serious criminal offenses without any proven factual basis. The article says Tito's exit from the house may now allow the two sides to seek a reconciliation outside court.
