Bezeq Wins Major Government Telecom Contract

Bezeq has been awarded a significant tender by the Accountant General in the Ministry of Finance to provide data communication services to government ministries, affiliate units, and related bodies. The company was declared the primary winner and is expected to handle approximately 70% of the activity under the contract.

Under the agreement, Bezeq will supply business lines, transmission services, IPVPN lines, communication equipment, and network solutions. These infrastructures are intended to support the government's transition to the public cloud as part of the "Nimbus" project. The contract is set to commence in the fourth quarter of this year for an initial period of 48 months, with options for the Accountant General to extend it by up to an additional 72 months, potentially lasting up to ten years.

Nir Dod, CEO of Bezeq, stated that the win is a "vote of confidence" in the company's capabilities, infrastructure quality, and service level for business clients. He highlighted Bezeq's nationwide reach and large-scale capacity as key advantages in serving the state. Dod added that the win encompasses the full range of services Bezeq bid for, including data, transmission, IPVPN, and network solutions.

"We don't just connect our customers, we provide them with the infrastructure and technology that enable them to work continuously, securely, and efficiently," Dod said, emphasizing that the contract strengthens Bezeq's position as a technological partner for the public sector.
