Bezeq Wins Major Government Telecom Tender, Securing Key Infrastructure Role

Bezeq has been awarded a significant telecommunications tender by the Accountant General in the Ministry of Finance, solidifying its position as the primary provider of wired communication infrastructure for Israeli government ministries, their affiliated units, and related bodies. The contract mandates Bezeq to supply business lines, data transmission services, IPVPN lines, communication equipment, and advanced network solutions. These services will be crucial for the government's transition to the public cloud, a project known as "Nimbus."

The company is slated to commence its obligations under the tender in the fourth quarter of the current year, with an initial term of 48 months. Bezeq also holds options to extend the contract for an additional period of up to 72 months.

Nir David, CEO of Bezeq, expressed his satisfaction with the win, stating, "Bezeq's selection as the main provider in the Accountant General's tender is, first and foremost, an expression of confidence in our capabilities, the quality of our infrastructure, and the level of service we provide to our business clients." He further elaborated that the scope of their winning bid encompasses the full range of services they competed for, including data services, transmission lines, IPVPN, communication equipment, network infrastructure, and network solutions.
