Arkia Airlines Expands Long-Haul Fleet with New Airbus A330

Arkia Airlines is continuing its expansion by adding an Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft to its fleet. The eight-year-old plane, painted in Arkia's livery, entered service Wednesday night, making its inaugural flight from Tel Aviv to New York. This new aircraft features 245 seats, divided into 45 business class seats and 200 economy class seats, with an emphasis on an upgraded business class product for long-haul routes.

The A330-300 will primarily serve the Tel Aviv-New York route, which has become a flagship route for Arkia over the past year as the airline broadens its operations in North America and on long-haul destinations. This addition brings Arkia's wide-body fleet to three or four aircraft, depending on operational periods, as it already operates an A330-200 in its colors.

Arkia CEO Oz Berlowitz stated that the new aircraft is a significant step in the company's strategic plan to expand its long-haul operations. He highlighted New York as a key route and emphasized Arkia's ongoing investment in its fleet, business class offerings, and competitive passenger experience. Berlowitz added that the presence of another wide-body aircraft in Arkia's colors symbolizes the company's growth and its progress in recent years.
