Arkia Adds Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Boost Summer Flights to New York, Paris, Amsterdam

Arkia Airlines is expanding its summer flight capacity by introducing a new Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner to its fleet. The wide-body aircraft, operated by the Italian airline Neos, will serve high-demand routes to New York, Paris, and Amsterdam during August and September. This move aims to address the surge in passenger numbers during the busy summer travel season, particularly on the popular New York route, which has seen increased demand due to limited foreign airline operations to Israel.

The Dreamliner offers 345 seats, including a premium cabin and economy class, and provides paid Wi-Fi service onboard. Known for its long-range capabilities and large passenger capacity, the aircraft is widely used on intercontinental flights. Arkia's inaugural flight with the Dreamliner took off from Tel Aviv to New York overnight, marking a strategic step to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of Israelis traveling abroad this summer and the growing passenger traffic at Ben Gurion Airport.

This addition complements recent expansions by Israeli airlines responding to the aviation sector's recovery and the high demand for flights to major destinations in Europe and North America. Arkia's fleet upgrade reflects the broader trend of Israeli carriers increasing seat availability to meet summer travel needs.
