UK Labour MP Calls for Military Action Against Israel

A Labour Member of Parliament in the UK, Tahir Ali, has called for military action against Israel. The incident occurred on Monday, September 14, during a parliamentary debate concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as reported by The Jewish Chronicle. Ali interrupted a speech by Liberal Democrat MP Richard Ford, who had stated that the disarmament and dissolution of Hamas should be part of a long-term settlement. Ali then proposed that Israel should also be disarmed, citing actions by the Israeli side. He further suggested that the UK had previously used military force in the Middle East to protect human rights and international trade routes, questioning why similar action could not be taken against Israel.

Richard Ford rejected Ali's comparison of Israel to Hamas, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in the UK. According to reports, this is not the first time Ali has made such a call; in July 2025, he had previously suggested deploying British soldiers to protect Palestinians from the actions of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
