Driver Arrested for Fleeing Police Using Brother's Identity
Police in northern Israel have arrested a Haifa resident who was driving without a license and attempted to evade authorities by impersonating his brother. The incident occurred when the suspect was caught driving a pickup truck at 91 km/h in a 70 km/h zone near Nesher. When stopped by police, he provided his brother's identification details.
According to the police, the brother, a 38-year-old Haifa resident, has never obtained a driver's license, has been disqualified from driving for ten years, and is currently under a suspended prison sentence. The suspect, who was driving with a suspended license himself, was arrested, and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
