Arab Reports: Israel Aiding Saudi Arabia in War Against Houthis

Arab media outlets are reporting that Israel is providing assistance to Saudi Arabia in its ongoing conflict with the Houthi organization. This development comes amid escalating tensions and significant battlefield gains by the Houthis.

Neither Israel nor Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed or denied these reports, leaving Israel's potential return to the Red Sea theater unaddressed. The reports emerged shortly after Saudi authorities announced that air raid sirens sounded in Jeddah, Taif, and Mecca due to a Houthi missile launch, though the threat was later declared neutralized.

This incident follows the Houthis' successful capture of territory in the Bab el-Mandeb strait last week, which resulted in the Yemeni government forces losing extensive positions on Yemen's western coast. Following this setback, Yemeni government forces alleged direct support from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its regional allies for the Houthi operations.

These events coincide with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Egypt. According to Arab media, the visit is part of an effort to form a new military coalition aimed at countering the Houthis in Yemen, who have recently conducted several successful operations.
