Jane Bordeaux Singer Breaks Silence on Allegations Amidst Legal Case

Doron Talmon, the lead singer of the Israeli band Jane Bordeaux, has broken her silence regarding accusations made against her on social media by Naama Shahar. The controversy arises in the wake of the closure of a case due to insufficient evidence against musician Yuval Vilner, who was suspected of raping Shahar and Shi-Li Atari. Shahar had previously posted correspondence, alleging that Talmon provided sensitive information to Vilner. This information reportedly included details about a diary in Vilner's possession, which he then allegedly destroyed, thereby eliminating crucial evidence against him. Talmon addressed the allegations in a decisive statement on the band's Instagram account, explaining her prolonged silence was out of respect and a belief in not judging others in their pain. However, she stated, "I can no longer remain silent." Talmon refuted the serious claims directed at her, asserting, "Out of respect and privacy, we choose not to say everything publicly, but we will clarify only that the details published about me are simply untrue and the presented facts are partial and very biased." She also addressed the harsh reactions directed at her and her daughters following the publications, concluding with a statement of principle: "I reiterate my condemnation of all harm and violence against women and have worked for women my entire life."
