Major Drug Cache Discovered in East Jerusalem

Police and Border Police forces conducted a proactive operation in the Wadi Qadum area of East Jerusalem, resulting in the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected illicit drugs. Detectives from the Shalem station, working with Border Police officers from the Homa battalion, searched an open area and uncovered a variety of substances believed to be drugs, in amounts suggesting they were not intended for personal use.

Among the confiscated items were approximately 108 grams of suspected hashish, 151 grams of suspected cannabis, and 49 grams of suspected crystal meth, which had been divided into 56 individual doses along with two larger blocks. Additionally, about 2.15 grams of suspected heroin, portioned into five doses, were found. The forces also seized 137 suspected ecstasy pills, 59 suspected LSD units, 11 prescription-required pills, and six canisters of nitrous oxide gas.

All seized materials have been transferred to the forensic laboratories of the Israel Police for further analysis and evidence processing. The investigation into the discovery is ongoing.
