Maccabi Haifa Dominates, Hapoel Ramat Gan Secures First Win in Israeli Premier League

Newly promoted Hapoel Ramat Gan celebrated their first points of the season, defeating Maccabi Netanya 2-0. Ramat Gan had entered the match at the bottom of the league table with no points after three straight losses, including a heavy defeat in the prior round.

Hapoel Haifa also achieved their first league victory, beating Bnei Sakhnin 3-1. Prior to this match, Hapoel Haifa had drawn all three of their opening games. Sakhnin, meanwhile, is experiencing a challenging start to their campaign.

The round had commenced on Sunday, with defending champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva bouncing back from a loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv by defeating Hapoel Petah Tikva 2-0. Goals in the second half sealed the win for Be'er Sheva.

Several matches remain in the current round, including the Tel Aviv derby between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv, with further games scheduled for Tuesday.
