Carlton Tel Aviv Named Israel's Leading Hotel for 2026
The Carlton Tel Aviv hotel has been awarded the title of Israel's Leading Hotel for 2026 by the World Travel Awards. The winners were announced on September 13th at the World Travel Awards Middle East Gala Ceremony 2026, held in Dubai at the One&Only One Za’abeel hotel. The event gathered professionals from the Middle East's tourism and hospitality sectors.
Carlton Tel Aviv secured the top honor in the Israel's Leading Hotel category. This award was previously held by the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem for the preceding two years, 2024 and 2025, marking a shift in the top hotel designation from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv for 2026.
Other Israeli hotels also received accolades. The American Colony Hotel Jerusalem was recognized as Israel's Leading Boutique Hotel. In the Israel's Leading Conference Hotel category, which focuses on venues for conferences and business events, the InterContinental David Tel Aviv took the prize.
Israeli hotels have a history of winning World Travel Awards in various categories. For instance, the David Kempinski Tel Aviv was previously honored for its luxury suite. In total for 2026, Tel Aviv hotels received two awards: the Carlton Tel Aviv's main title and the InterContinental David Tel Aviv's conference hotel award. Jerusalem's representation came from The American Colony Hotel's boutique award.
