Teddy Productions Founder Sells Control to Senior Management

Tamira Yardeni, founder and owner of the veteran Israeli production company Teddy Productions, has sold controlling interest in the company to its senior management team, including Yoav Tzafir, Meital Cohen, and Sarit Shilo. Tzafir, Yardeni's long-time partner, will lead the company as the majority shareholder, while Cohen will serve as CEO. The move is intended to ensure the company's continued growth and preserve its legacy for future generations.

This decision comes after months of speculation and negotiations with external parties, including SIPUR group and NMC, which did not materialize into deals. Yardeni ultimately chose to entrust the company, which she founded with her late husband Dudu Yardeni 55 years ago, to her close associates rather than an outside entity.

Teddy Productions has been responsible for numerous significant Israeli television and cultural productions, such as the comedy series "Sabri Maranan," "Shמש," "HaShir Shelanu," and "HaPijamot," the reality music shows "Kokhav Nolad" and "HaKokhav HaBa L'Eurovizion," and the drama "Euphoria," which was sold to HBO.

Yardeni expressed confidence in Tzafir, stating, "There is no one more suitable than Yoav to continue leading Teddy. Yoav started working at the company 30 years ago and is an integral part of it." She added that she feels fortunate that the company will continue to thrive under the leadership of Tzafir, Cohen, and Shilo, emphasizing that the decision stems from a deep love for Teddy and a desire to secure its future and heritage.
