19-Year-Old Collapses at Grandfather's Home in Bnei Brak and Dies

By ערוץ 7
Translated & summarized from Arutz Sheva by baba
The story · English

A tragedy struck Bnei Brak on Thursday evening when Yeshayahu Gamliel, 19, lost consciousness at his grandfather's home in the Shikun V neighborhood. Relatives immediately called emergency services after he suddenly collapsed.

Rescuers from the Hatzalah organization, Eliyahu Partush and Menachem Zinger, were first on the scene. They said they found him completely unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing, and began advanced resuscitation efforts that included chest compressions and ventilations.

An intensive care ambulance took Gamliel to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, where medics continued fighting for his life en route. Doctors at the hospital later pronounced him dead.

Gamliel was the son of Shmuel and Yaffa Gamliel, residents of Emmanuel, and the grandson of Rabbi Eitan Gamliel, the rabbi of the Yemenite community in Elad. He studied at the Da'at Chochmah yeshiva in Bnei Brak. His funeral is scheduled for Friday.
