19-Year-Old Collapses in Bnei Brak, Evacuated During CPR

Emergency responders were called Thursday evening to Tarkhish Street in Bnei Brak after reports that a roughly 19-year-old man had collapsed at home. When rescuers arrived, they found him unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing.

Magen David Adom medics and Hatzalah volunteers carried out prolonged resuscitation efforts at the scene. Hatzalah responders Eliyahu Partush and Menachem Zinger, among the first to arrive, said they found the young man after he had collapsed in his home and that CPR began immediately.

According to their account, he was then taken to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer while resuscitation continued en route, and was transferred for further treatment in the hospital’s shock room.
