75-Year-Old Man Collapses in Bnei Brak Office and Is Resuscitated by Volunteers

A 75-year-old man collapsed and lost consciousness in his office in Bnei Brak on Monday, prompting immediate emergency response. Volunteers from United Hatzalah arrived quickly and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and electric shocks using a defibrillator from their newly deployed ambulance. Their efforts successfully restored the man's heartbeat.

After stabilizing his condition, the man was transported to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, where he remains sedated and on a ventilator for further treatment. Nahman Fried, one of the volunteers involved, recounted that he was alerted from his workplace at the United Hatzalah dispatch center located one floor above the incident site and promptly began intensive resuscitation, which he described as a deeply fulfilling experience.

United Hatzalah has requested the public to pray for the recovery of Abraham Yosef ben Sarah, the patient currently hospitalized following the resuscitation. The incident highlights the critical role of rapid emergency medical intervention in saving lives.
