19-Year-Old Yeshiva Student Dies Suddenly in Bnei Brak
Bnei Brak has been mourning the sudden death of Yeshi Gamliel, a 19-year-old yeshiva student who collapsed unexpectedly and died. He was the son of Rabbi Shmuel Gamliel of Emanuel, the grandson of Rabbi Eitan Gamliel, rabbi of the Yemenite community in Elad, and the great-grandson of Rabbi Yechiel Gamliel.
Gamliel studied as a young man at the Da'at Chochma yeshiva on Devorah HaNevia Street in Bnei Brak, where he was described as excelling in his learning. In the late afternoon, he suddenly collapsed at his grandfather Rabbi Aharon Gamliel's home in the city's Shikun Vav neighborhood.
Rescue teams were called to the scene and evacuated him to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, where he was pronounced dead. His funeral is scheduled for Friday, ערב שבת קודש of Parashat Chukat, and the family said the exact funeral procession time will be announced later.
