17-Year-Old Yeshiva Student Collapses in Rehovot, Remains in Critical Condition
A 17-year-old student at the Chabad Yeshiva in Rehovot collapsed and lost consciousness inside the yeshiva building on Hasam Street last night. Emergency medical teams arriving at the scene found the boy without pulse or breathing and immediately began life-saving resuscitation efforts. First responders from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom administered initial treatment, including chest compressions, prolonged ventilation, and electric shocks with a defibrillator until his pulse was restored.
United Hatzalah medics Yehonatan Sharabi, Katriel Cohen, and Ayala Yitzhaki described the student as completely unconscious upon their arrival. Additional medics David Moshe Teitelbaum and Beni Lamdan stabilized him on site before rushing him in an intensive care ambulance to Kaplan Medical Center’s emergency room in Rehovot. Resuscitation efforts continued en route to the hospital.
As of now, the student remains in a severe and critical condition. His family and fellow yeshiva students have requested the public to recite Psalms and pray for his recovery. His name for prayer is Ziv Moshe ben Merav, alongside all other ill individuals in Israel.
