Maccabi Netanya Signs Olivier Vardan, Former Ludogorets Defender
Maccabi Netanya has officially signed Olivier Vardan, a 30-year-old central defender from Benin and formerly of Ludogorets, on a two-year contract. The move comes shortly after the team's defender Saba Khvadagiani suffered a severe anterior cruciate ligament tear.
Vardan brings significant experience, having made 243 appearances for Ludogorets. He was part of the Ludogorets squad that recently played against Hapoel Tel Aviv. Last season, Vardan played in 22 league matches and 10 Europa League games, scoring a total of five goals across all competitions.
The signing addresses Netanya's defensive needs following Khvadagiani's injury.
