The survey, conducted from September 8-10 among 1,410 adults, found that 77.49% of those aware of problematic behaviors attributed to Israelis desire more stringent legal application. The poll revealed that 76.38% of respondents had heard about alleged incidents or offenses involving Israelis through media or social networks, with just over 5% claiming personal witness.
Among those aware of the accusations, 71.22% cited a lack of respect for Thai legislation. Nearly half also mentioned rude behavior towards locals or a disregard for Thai culture. Concerns have also been raised about alleged use of Thai citizens as fronts for foreigners to control land or businesses, particularly in Koh Phangan and Phuket.
Beyond stricter law enforcement, 45.45% of respondents suggested reducing the authorized length of stay for Israeli visitors. Additionally, almost 38.5% called for the Israeli embassy to take a more active role in addressing the conduct of its nationals.
