Popular Food Chain Rapidos Opens First Eilat Branch
The Tex-Mex food chain Rapidos, part of the BBB Group, has opened its first branch in the southern city of Eilat, marking a significant expansion for the brand. The new location, situated on Tamarim Boulevard, represents an investment of approximately 1 million shekels and covers 60 square meters with seating for around 40 customers, both indoors and outdoors.
Rapidos Eilat will feature the chain's full menu, including signature dishes like the "Crunch Wrap," a halved wrap with a choice of beef, short rib, chicken, crispy chicken, or vegan filling, served with a crunchy tostada, vegetables, and various sauces. Prices for this dish range from 58 to 67 shekels, depending on the meat selection. Taco options include "Birria Tacos" for 63 shekels, featuring three seared tacos with short rib, vegan cheese, pickled onions, cilantro, and birria broth.
Appetizers include "Hot Wings" with Mexican BBQ sauce for 47 shekels, "Corn Ribs" with chipotle aioli for 36 shekels, and "Chicken Tenders" for 49 shekels. The company chose Eilat, a major tourist destination, to reach new customer segments, including local residents and the hundreds of thousands of tourists who visit annually.
"Rapidos' expansion to the south is a significant step for the brand and part of our vision to make Rapidos a nationwide chain," said Ahuvah Turgeman, CEO of BBB Group. "We chose Eilat out of belief in the city's potential and its local and visiting population. We are seeing a change in consumption habits and growing demand for fast, quality, accessible food that offers a different experience."
With the opening of the Eilat branch, Rapidos will operate seven branches across Israel, joining existing locations in Netanya, Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Rishon LeZion, Nahariya, and Be'er Ya'akov.
