ASIA, a new rooftop entertainment complex in central Eilat, has opened for a trial run at the Shivat HaKochavim complex, with an investment of about 10 million shekels. Overlooking the Red Sea, the Edom Mountains and the city’s hotel strip, the venue was created by developer Elad Guzlan, a familiar figure in Eilat’s leisure, hotel and restaurant scene.
Guzlan said the concept was inspired by rooftop venues in Miami and Dubai. He said, “We wanted to bring that culture to the city, but create a place that speaks the local language.” The project was designed by interior designers Adi Yamin and Shachar Weiss of Studio Yamin Weiss to function as an evolving hospitality space that blends food, music and socializing from morning coffee through late-night parties.
The complex spans about 1,000 square meters and is divided into three distinct zones: an Asian restaurant and central indoor bar, a northern pool and outdoor bar area, and a southern outdoor lounge terrace. The design uses a central axis to connect the spaces while preserving each area’s identity, with materials and colors drawn from Eilat’s desert light and sand, plus natural stone, wood and layered lighting.
The venue includes an open kitchen, DJ area, wine displays, custom furniture and tailored textiles, much of it made specifically for the project. The northern terrace is styled as a more daring beach-club space that turns intimate at night, while the southern terrace is quieter and more restrained. The owners say every detail was developed for Eilat’s climate, including textiles tested in harsh sun and fire conditions.
