Neto Savings Food Chain Invests NIS 150 Million to Open 10 New Branches Across Israel
Neto Savings, part of the Sapir Group, is set to expand its presence in Israel by opening ten new food retail branches in the coming months, investing approximately NIS 150 million. The new stores will be located in key demand areas including Beit Shemesh, Netanya (two branches), Hadera, Ashdod, Holon, Kiryat Gat, Rishon Lezion, Kiryat Ata, and Elazar, broadening the chain's reach across central Israel, the Sharon region, the Shephelah, Jerusalem, the north, and Judea and Samaria.
This expansion comes amid intensifying competition in Israel's food retail sector, driven by rising living costs and consumers' search for lower prices. Neto Savings competes effectively with larger discount chains, catering to both general and religious market segments by offering affordable pricing.
Earlier this year, the Sapir Group also launched its first "Pharm Plus" branch in the pharmaceutical retail sector, with plans to open around 70 more franchises to challenge competitors like Rami Levy's Good Pharm. The group's expansion reflects a broader trend of aggressive growth strategies by food chains aiming to capture greater market share in Israel's competitive retail landscape.
