Fourth Suspect Arrested in Naval Commando Base Arms Theft
Israeli police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the theft of weapons from the naval commando Unit 13 base in Atlit. The arrest follows the discovery last Thursday of suspected trafficking of military weapons, which led to the initial apprehension of three individuals, including a soldier serving at the base. The stolen weapons have since been recovered and returned to the naval commando unit.
The investigation, a joint effort by the Coastal District of the Israel Police and the Northern District of Military Police, is ongoing. Authorities are working to determine the full scope of the theft and the extent of the arms trafficking operation.
