Maccabi Haifa Considers Kenneth Paal as Transfer Option
Israeli football club Maccabi Haifa is reportedly considering Kenneth Paal, a left-back formerly of Queens Park Rangers, as a potential transfer target. Paal is currently with Turkish second-division club Antalyaspor, where he is under contract until 2028. However, he has not been included in the squad this season, and the club has since signed two other left-backs, Alfie Mawson and Guray Vural, during the summer.
Paal's high salary, estimated at around 700,000 euros annually, presents a potential obstacle. Antalyaspor may be willing to contribute to his wages given he is not part of their professional plans. The team's relegation from the top league at the end of last season, despite Paal being a regular starter, has led to this situation.
With limited transfer windows remaining open in Europe, the Israeli league, along with those in Slovakia, Greece, and Serbia, represents one of the few remaining options for Paal to secure a move before the end of the current transfer period.
