Maccabi Haifa Eyes Left-Back Kenneth Paal as Transfer Window Narrows
Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Haifa is reportedly interested in signing left-back Kenneth Paal, who is currently with Turkish second-division side Antalyaspor. The "Greens" aim to secure Paal before the end of the transfer window, as he faces a crossroads in his career.
Paal's contract with Antalyaspor runs until 2028, but he has not been included in the squad this season. The Turkish club has also signed two other left-backs, Alfie Mawson and Guray Vural, during the summer, further complicating Paal's position. Antalyaspor is reportedly willing to contribute to Paal's salary, estimated at around 700,000 euros annually, as he is not part of their professional plans.
Last season, Paal was a regular starter, but Antalyaspor was relegated from the Turkish top flight. With the Israeli transfer window being one of the few still open in Europe, alongside Slovakia, Greece, and Serbia, Maccabi Haifa sees an opportunity to strengthen its squad.
