Israel Launches Intensified Airstrikes and Artillery Barrages in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military conducted a series of intense airstrikes and artillery shelling across southern Lebanon on Sunday, targeting several towns and areas in the Nabatieh district. These attacks, which included multiple waves of strikes on specific locations within short intervals, represent a continuation of recent Israeli military actions in the region.

According to the National News Agency of Lebanon, Israeli warplanes struck Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Kfar Tebnit, and the areas surrounding hills like al-Dabsha and Harj Ali al-Taher. Specifically, Nabatieh al-Fawqa was hit by two separate airstrikes within fifteen minutes, and the vicinity of al-Dabsha hill experienced two strikes within half an hour. Kfar Tebnit was subjected to three consecutive airstrikes in less than twenty minutes.

Simultaneously with the aerial bombardments, the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh was hit by Israeli artillery fire. As of Sunday, there were no immediate reports of casualties from these attacks.

These latest strikes follow broader Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon on Friday and Saturday, which involved airstrikes, artillery shelling, and explosions targeting residential areas, homes, a school, and infrastructure.
