Israel Launches Renewed Strikes Across Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military conducted a series of airstrikes, artillery shelling, and explosions across various areas in southern Lebanon on Tuesday evening. Targets included towns and regions in Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, and Tyre, accompanied by low-altitude drone surveillance over southern areas. Local sources reported Israeli airstrikes hitting the town of Mansouri and the outskirts of Haris, as well as Wadi al-Sluqi. Residents in Israeli communities near the Lebanese border were alerted to potential explosions during the night in the Kiryat Shmona area, linked to ongoing Israeli operations in Lebanon.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported earlier that Israeli drones flew at low altitude over the Zahrani region. The agency also stated that the Israeli army carried out an explosion in the town of Kfar Tibnit, while its artillery shelled the town of Sarbin in the Bint Jbeil district. Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Doueikha Kfar Rman also experienced intermittent artillery fire, with Israeli warplanes reportedly striking Nabatieh al-Fawqa for a second time within fifteen minutes. Prior to this, an Israeli airstrike targeted the Huraik neighborhood in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, near Kfar Tibnit. Earlier in the day, the Israeli military conducted a large explosion in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyyeh, though the target remained unclear.

Other southern areas saw Israeli military actions, including two explosions in Mansouri accompanied by bulldozing of homes. On Tuesday morning, Israeli artillery shelled Wadi al-Sluqi and Wadi al-Hujair, and Israeli forces fired towards forests near Qabrikha. These attacks occurred amid heightened Israeli military operations over the past three days, which, as of Monday, had resulted in 27 deaths and 69 injuries, including children, women, and medics, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The ministry announced on Monday that the total casualties from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2nd have reached 4,381 killed and 12,402 injured.

These ongoing Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon continue despite a US-brokered agreement signed on June 26, 2026, which stipulated a gradual Israeli withdrawal in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army in the area.
