Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon Amid Border Tensions and Drone Alert

Lebanese sources reported Wednesday morning that the Israeli military conducted two airstrikes targeting the vicinity of the towns of Kfar Rumman and Arabsalim in southern Lebanon. Simultaneously, intense artillery shelling hit the Ali Al-Tahir hill, reflecting ongoing border escalation. One Israeli airstrike reportedly struck the town of Arabsalim, while the Ali Al-Tahir hill faced heavy Israeli artillery fire, with continued strikes in various parts of southern Lebanon.

In response, the Israeli military announced the launch of interceptor missiles towards a "suspicious aerial target" that likely entered from Lebanese territory. This action followed the activation of air raid sirens in several areas of Upper Galilee, including Kfar Yuval, Ma'ayan Baruch, and Al-Jushrim, amid suspicions of a drone infiltration into Israeli airspace.

The military stated that the results of the interception are still under examination and confirmed no injuries resulted from the incident. Additional sirens were activated as a precaution against potential missile or shell impacts during interception attempts.
