Israel Strikes South Lebanon, Intercepts False Alarm Over Galilee

On Wednesday morning, Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli military conducted two airstrikes in the vicinity of the towns of Kfar Rumman and Arabsalim in southern Lebanon. Concurrently, heavy artillery shelling targeted the Ali al-Taher hill. These actions were part of ongoing Israeli airstrikes in various parts of southern Lebanon.

In response, the Israeli military announced the launch of interceptor missiles towards a suspicious aerial target, believed to have crossed from Lebanese territory. This occurred after air raid sirens were activated in several areas of the Upper Galilee, including Kfar Yuval, Ma'ayan Baruch, and Al-Goshrim, due to suspicion of a drone infiltration.

Later, the Israeli military spokesperson stated that initial investigations into the alerts in northern Israel indicated that several interceptor missiles were launched, apparently towards a "phantom target." The military also announced carrying out an airstrike targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. This strike was described as a response to two explosive-laden drones launched towards Israeli forces in the security zone of the Ali al-Taher heights, which allegedly targeted soldiers in the area.
