Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon With Heavy Bombardment

Israel conducted continuous attacks across southern Lebanon on Saturday, including bombings, artillery shelling, and the detonation of explosives on homes. The town of Mansouri alone experienced over 30 explosions from Friday night into Saturday. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli strikes targeted areas in the districts of Tyre, Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, and Marjayoun, hitting residential buildings and infrastructure.

In the Tyre district, Mansouri was subjected to more than 30 explosions, destroying some homes and infrastructure. An Israeli drone dropped gallons of highly explosive materials on the town, which also faced artillery fire. Israeli forces carried out large-scale demolitions of several houses in Mansouri, with the blasts felt and their tremors registered in the city of Tyre and surrounding areas.

In the Nabatieh district, Israeli artillery shelled the town of Doueir, the outskirts of Arnoun, and the Wadi al-Sluqi area. In Bint Jbeil, Israeli forces detonated explosives in Ainata and carried out violent explosions in Hadaatha and the outskirts of Ainata towards Qunain, with the sounds echoing in nearby villages. In Marjayoun, a large explosion was heard in Taybeh.

In the city of Khiyam, an Israeli drone dropped explosives on homes near Birkat al-Hamam east of the city, a site that had been targeted days earlier. The explosions caused fires and plumes of smoke. The Lebanese National News Agency did not immediately report any casualties.

These attacks are a continuation of extensive Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon from Friday, which included airstrikes, artillery shelling, and explosions targeting residential areas, homes, a school, and infrastructure. The ongoing Israeli attacks persist despite the "Framework Agreement" signed by Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26, which stipulates a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied territories in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army.
