Border Police Officer Smashes Car Window in Arab Israeli Town Without Explanation

Surveillance footage from the village of Musmus, in northern Israel, captured a Border Police officer approaching a civilian vehicle and smashing its passenger-side window. The incident occurred on September 13, 2026, and the car's owner, Mohammed Ighbariya, stated there was no prior confrontation or communication with the officer.

The video shows the officer exiting a patrol vehicle, walking to the unoccupied car, breaking the window, and then returning to his patrol and leaving the scene.

Ighbariya, who was watering trees at the time, said he was alerted to the broken window and later obtained the security footage. He expressed confusion and distress over the act, stating, "I am a calm person and my relationship with everyone is good. The police are supposed to protect property, not break a car window for no reason."

He further questioned the officer's actions, noting that no one inquired about the vehicle's owner or contacted him. Ighbariya emphasized that while he might forgive a civilian for such an act, it is unacceptable for a police officer. He demanded an end to such behavior to prevent future occurrences.
