A 20-year-old woman was attacked Thursday morning on a street in the local council of Azor, in the Dan region, by a man she did not know. Security camera footage captured the incident, showing the suspect following her as she walked alone and did not notice him behind her.
According to the video, the woman was looking at her mobile phone as she continued walking, while the suspect trailed her and gradually closed in. He then jumped on her from behind, pressed himself against her, hugged her and knocked her to the ground. The woman screamed, and the suspect panicked and fled.
The woman later went to a police station and gave a statement about what happened. As of now, the suspect has not been identified or arrested. Police said investigators are reviewing the security footage from the scene as part of the inquiry.
Police said, "The young woman came to the station to file a complaint. An investigation has been opened and police are working to locate the suspect in the act."
