IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Sniper Cell Commander in Khan Younis
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced on Tuesday the elimination of Mu'aman Gaber Alsayed Abu Lebada, identified as the commander of a Hamas sniper cell within the Rafah Brigade. The operation took place yesterday in the Khan Younis area.
Abu Lebada was reportedly trained in sniper tactics within the Gaza Strip with the objective of targeting IDF soldiers operating along the border fence and Israeli civilians. Recent intelligence indicated he was involved in rebuilding Hamas's capabilities, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The strike was carried out to neutralize the threat he posed. The IDF and Shin Bet stated that the operation was conducted to remove this specific threat from the battlefield.
