IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Sniper Cell Leader in Khan Younis
The Israeli military and Shin Bet security agency announced Thursday the elimination of Moamen Gabr Alsayed Abu Labada, identified as the leader of a Hamas sniper cell within the Rafah Brigade. The strike occurred in the Khan Younis area.
Abu Labada was reportedly training snipers in the Gaza Strip with the objective of targeting Israeli civilians and IDF forces operating near the "yellow line," a reference to the border fence. He was also accused of working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities in recent times, in what the IDF described as a systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The operation was carried out to neutralize the threat posed by Abu Labada and his cell.
