Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed statements made by President Trump, confirming that Iran is once again attempting to acquire nuclear weapons. Netanyahu stated, "This is true. After we destroyed their immediate capability to produce nuclear bombs in the 'People of the Lion' and 'Lion's Roar' operations, they are trying again." He made these remarks from the Western Wall on the eve of the Hebrew New Year, pledging, "I promise you here. As long as I am Prime Minister, Iran will not possess nuclear weapons."
Netanyahu also addressed ongoing military operations, noting, "At the same time, we continue to deliver severe blows to the Iranian axis, not only very violently in the Gaza Strip but also in Lebanon."
