Netanyahu Vows to Prevent Iran from Obtaining Nuclear Weapons
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared from the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Thursday that Israel will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons as long as he leads the government. Netanyahu stated that U.S. President Donald Trump had announced Iran's attempt to rearm with nuclear weapons, confirming the intelligence. He asserted that Tehran is now trying to renew its efforts after Israel destroyed Iran's immediate capability to produce nuclear bombs during operations "With All Your Might" and "Lion's Roar." Speaking ahead of the Jewish New Year, Netanyahu made a public commitment at the Western Wall, pledging, "I promise you here, at the Western Wall, ahead of Rosh Hashanah: as long as I am prime minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons."
Netanyahu also addressed Israel's ongoing actions against the Iranian axis in other arenas. "At the same time, we are striking the Iranian axis, not only very hard in the Gaza Strip, but also in Lebanon," he said. He further detailed Israeli military operations, stating, "We destroyed the Beaufort Ridge and are now dealing with the Ali Taher Ridge." The activity on the Ali Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon has been a focal point of recent Israeli operations against Hezbollah infrastructure in the area.
