IDF Arrests Terrorist Planning Shooting Attack After Week-Long Manhunt
Israeli forces apprehended a terrorist planning an imminent shooting attack on Thursday morning, following a week-long pursuit. The arrest was carried out by soldiers from the Duvdevan Unit, acting on intelligence from the Shin Bet security agency, in the area of Beitunia. The apprehended individual has been identified as Ismail Anqayo. A second wanted individual was also detained during the operation.
The IDF stated that Anqayo had been planning to carry out a shooting attack in the immediate future. The military affirmed its commitment to proactively and offensively counter-terrorism efforts and to bring to justice anyone seeking to harm Israeli citizens.
