Hasidic Group Holds Annual Prayer Gathering and Fundraising Drive in Meron

Followers of the Toldos Aaron Hasidic dynasty have concluded their annual fundraising campaign, raising millions of shekels to support the group's institutions. These institutions, which do not accept government funding, rely entirely on donations from within the community. Individual contributions range from 4,500 shekels to as much as 200,000 shekels annually.

Following the fundraising drive, thousands of Hasidim embarked on their yearly pilgrimage to Meron, a significant religious site in northern Israel. The pilgrimage serves as a token of appreciation for the donors' commitment to the Hasidic institutions.

In Meron, the group held prayer services and spiritual gatherings on the roof of the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. A special celebratory feast, known as a 'tish,' was held near the tomb.

The highlight of the event was the distribution of twelve loaves of challah by the Rebbe, Rabbi Aharon, as a blessing for livelihood. For approximately two hours, Hasidim passed before the Rebbe to receive the challah and an apple, symbolizing a sweet new year.
