Haredi Rabbis Hold Gatherings and Events Ahead of High Holidays

As the month of "Mercy and Forgiveness" begins, leading rabbis and rebbes are conducting various gatherings and events across Israel. The Rebbe of Erloy visited the holy site of Meron with his students for prayers near the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, followed by a "L'chaim" gathering and inspirational talks for the upcoming High Holidays. He later returned to Jerusalem.

In Beitar, the Rebbe of Seret-Vizhnitz met with his followers for counsel and blessings, with local rabbis and public figures also in attendance. He also performed a "chalaka" ceremony for the son of Rabbi Naftali Berman, a prominent community activist.

Elsewhere, the Rebbe of Satmar revealed his reasons for meeting with President Trump, emphasizing the importance of Jewish identity. He spoke to students in Kiryat Joel about the significance of the blessing "who has not made me a gentile."

Other events included a wedding for the great-granddaughter of the Rebbe of Mohnokov-Belz, where the Rebbe surprised attendees by only taking on the recitation of the Ketubah. A memorial ceremony was held in Givatayim for Rabbi Chaim Dov Halperin, son of the Rebbe of Voisloi, with his father and father-in-law present.

Additionally, stories and teachings from the Baal Shem Tov were shared, and a discussion took place regarding the distribution of the Satmar Rebbe's inheritance, including valuable silver and gold items. A clarification was issued by prominent rabbis concerning a letter against the Vizhnitz (Center) Hasidic sect, with some signatories retracting their support.
