Hundreds Pray for Healing of Sick Israelis at Mount Meron Gathering
Over 300 patients and their families, alongside a delegation of donors from the global charity RCCS, gathered at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in Meron for a prayer service. The event, held at the start of the Days of Awe and Forgiveness, was dedicated to the complete recovery of thousands of sick individuals in Israel and worldwide.
Led by influential Rabbi Elimelech Biderman, the gathering was urged to pray fervently for divine mercy and healing for the patients and their families, who face daily suffering. The prayers also extended to the donors, seeking blessings for their support of life-saving efforts.
During the emotional service, participants recited penitential prayers and the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy. Tears flowed as patients, including children and parents treated by RCCS in Israel, mingled with supporters who traveled from across the globe.
A significant part of the event included a ceremonial lighting, symbolizing hope and faith amidst pain, accompanied by heartfelt singing and pleas for healing and comfort for the sick among the people of Israel.
At the conclusion, Rabbi Tzvi Hershel Kahn, founder of RCCS, delivered a moving address, imploring the public to pray for a year of blessings, echoing the sentiment 'May the year and its curses end, may the year and its blessings begin.'
