Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Ends Hebrew Year with Declines
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange concluded the Hebrew year on Thursday with a negative trend in its leading indices. The TA-35 index fell by 1.22% to close at 4,221.4 points, while the TA-125 index dropped 1.38% to settle at 4,121.8 points.
Despite the overall downturn, several stocks saw significant gains. Elbit Systems, which recently unveiled a new robotics unit, led the rising stocks, climbing 2.61%. Palo Alto Networks followed with a 2.07% increase, and Beit Shemesh advanced by 1.83%.
Matrix also finished the trading day higher, adding 1.43%, and One Technologies rounded out the top five gainers with a 1.31% rise.
On the downside, OPC Energy was the biggest decliner, dropping 5.73%. Canon lost 5.39%, and Amram fell 5.24%. Alony Hetz registered a 5.08% decrease, and Energean completed the list of top decliners with a 5.04% drop.
