Lorenzo Brown Demands Release from Olimpia Milano Contract

Lorenzo Brown, formerly of Maccabi Tel Aviv, is seeking an immediate release from his contract with Italian club Olimpia Milano, expressing his frustration on Twitter with the message "Let me go." Brown signed a two-year deal with Milano this past summer but has failed to integrate into the team and did not report for the start of training camp.

Milano does not plan to utilize Brown and has not yet agreed to terminate his contract. The primary obstacle to his departure is financial, as both sides are reportedly negotiating a buyout. While a 50% salary reduction has been discussed as part of the settlement, an agreement has not yet been reached.

Brown played for Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2022 to 2024, leaving for Panathinaikos where he struggled to replicate his previous form. In the 2023-24 season with Panathinaikos, he averaged only 5.8 points and 2.7 assists in 12 EuroLeague games.

Olimpia Milano is set to begin its EuroLeague season in two weeks, hosting Partizan Belgrade. Brown is not expected to be on the team's roster for the upcoming season as the club has finalized its squad, though his contract situation remains unresolved.
