EuroLeague roster moves create a domino effect around Colson
EuroLeague teams are already shaping their 2026/27 rosters, and a series of official moves on Tuesday could affect the market for Bonzie Colson, who is also on Maccabi Tel Aviv’s wish list. Olympiacos announced that Alec Peters is leaving after four years in Piraeus, and he is expected to sign with Milan. The Italian club will pay him $1.7 million per season on a two-year deal.
Peters, who was often the backup to Sasha Vezenkov, helped Olympiacos reach and win the last Final Four. This season he averaged 7.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in a little over 15 minutes per game, but in the Final Four he jumped to 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds against Fenerbahce and Real Madrid.
His arrival in Milan comes as Zach LeDay may leave when his contract expires this summer, and Shavon Shields is also expected to depart. That could reshape the race for Colson, with Olympiacos also reportedly interested in the former Fenerbahce forward as a possible replacement for Peters in Piraeus.
Elsewhere, former Maccabi guard Saben Lee officially signed a two-year deal with Zalgiris Kaunas after starting the season with Olympiacos and later moving to Anadolu Efes. He averaged 11.3 points and 3.1 assists in 16 games for the Turkish team. Anadolu Efes also kept Jordan Loyd, 32, on a one-year extension with a second-year option after he averaged 11.4 points in EuroLeague play. Baskonia also extended Kobe Simmons through 2028 after he posted 11.1 points and 3.0 assists this season.
