Bonzie Colson could leave Fenerbahce this summer, with Greek reports saying he is already in advanced talks with Olympiacos. The EuroLeague champions are looking for a shooting forward to help at the 3 and 4 spots after losing Alec Peters, one of their Final Four standouts, to Milan.
Maccabi Tel Aviv also wants to bring back Colson, who left the club in summer 2024 for Turkey, but it is not the only team interested. Fenerbahce does hold an option on him for next season, yet any team that wants to sign him would only need to pay a relatively low $200,000 buyout.
That does not make the deal cheap overall, because Colson is set to earn a total of $3 million over two seasons with the Turkish club. In his final season with Maccabi, he averaged 12.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in the EuroLeague.
This season he put up 7.1 points and 3 rebounds per game, shot 48.5 percent from three, fourth-best in the EuroLeague, but fell out of Fenerbahce's rotation. In the Turkish league, he did not play from April until Monday's championship game.
