Students Pack Hundreds of Food Parcels for Needy Families in Kiryat Gat
Students from Ort Karmi Gat High School in Kiryat Gat organized and distributed hundreds of food parcels to underprivileged families in the city ahead of Rosh Hashanah. The volunteer initiative saw teenagers working alongside teachers and educational staff to ensure that all families could celebrate the holiday with joy and well-being.
The project was carried out in close cooperation with the "Lev Yehudi Cham" (Warm Jewish Heart) organization and with the support and guidance of Oriya Harris, director of the Health Department at the Kiryat Gat Municipality. Harris assisted in the success of the project and coordinated the logistics.
Both the Kiryat Gat Municipality and the school administration praised the students and educators for their spirit of volunteering, mutual responsibility, and love for humanity. They emphasized that the youth's involvement in social action helps shape a stronger, more caring, and cohesive community.
