IDF Publishes Map of Its Operating Zone in Southern Lebanon
The IDF on Thursday published a map showing the security zone in southern Lebanon where its forces are deployed, amid reports about a US-Lebanon understanding and restrictions on fire in the area. According to the military, the zone extends up to about 10 kilometers inside Lebanese territory.
The army said the deployment is part of ongoing operational activity aimed at removing threats and strengthening protection for communities in northern Israel. It also said its forces have established themselves in the area and continue to operate there.
The IDF urged the Lebanese Armed Forces and Lebanese civilians to avoid approaching the security zone. In its statement, the army said it will continue to hold the area and act against any threats to IDF troops and Israeli civilians identified beyond it.
The military added that the operational activity in the area is continuing as usual.
