Israeli Firm Turbogen Taps Former NYC Mayor Eric Adams for Advisory Role

Israeli technology company Turbogen, which develops and manufactures multi-fuel microturbines for distributed electricity generation, announced Wednesday it has signed a strategic advisory and business development agreement with a group including former New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

As part of the collaboration, Adams will join the company's advisory board to support its next phase of growth in the United States and globally. His role will involve providing strategic guidance, assisting in expanding access to clients and business partners in North America, and connecting Turbogen with distributors and strategic entities. Adams is also expected to represent the company to the American media, aiming to accelerate the adoption of its systems for energy resilience in residential buildings, hotels, and data centers.

This move aligns with Turbogen's vision to address the increasing demand for independent and flexible power supply. Adams, who served as Mayor of New York City from 2022 to 2025, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "I found a company that addresses a critical need for energy resilience. The ability to generate electricity exactly where it is needed, with full flexibility in fuel types and a variety of applications, is what distinguishes Turbogen in my eyes. I believe there is a great opportunity here."

Yaron Gilboa, CEO of Turbogen, called the agreement a significant milestone. "We see this collaboration as an opportunity to build a long-term strategic platform for our international growth," Gilboa said. "The experience and market access that the group brings will greatly strengthen our ability to accelerate commercial development worldwide."
