Singer Benצור Halts Concert Over Family Removal
Singer Benצור stopped his performance during the final evening of the "Me'irim B'Slichot" (Lighting the Way to Forgiveness) series at Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem on Wednesday. He noticed security guards attempting to remove his family members from the audience and immediately halted the show.
"Stop the show, sorry. They are sitting here," Benצור was recorded saying mid-song. "Stop the show, from the beginning. Until my family is sitting in front of me, we are not continuing. Family above all. It's hard to concentrate when you see security guards taking your mother out before your eyes."
Eyewitnesses at the event told mako that a crowd had gathered behind barriers near the stage, and security was removing individuals who entered the area due to concerns of overcrowding. Benצור realized his mother was among those being escorted out, prompting him to stop the concert and request she not be removed.
Following the interruption, Benצור restarted the song from the beginning. The "Me'irim B'Slichot" series also featured performances by Liran Danino, Matan Hassan, and Sasson Shaulov.
