Singer Yaniv Ben Mashiach Halts Tel Aviv Concert Over Gender Mixing Warning
Israeli singer Yaniv Ben Mashiach stopped his performance in Tel Aviv on Sunday night, warning the audience that he would leave the stage if there was any mixing between men and women in the crowd. He addressed the audience directly, stating, "If there is mixing between men and women, I will leave the stage." This incident reflects his long-standing commitment to gender separation during his shows, a promise he made about two years ago. At that time, during a Selichot event in the month of Elul, Ben Mashiach told the audience he had vowed to only allow gender-segregated dancing for the rest of his life, saying, "May the Creator forgive me for all my sins, I have committed to only dancing with separation until the day I die." The singer had previously pledged to avoid mixed-gender dancing at his concerts, emphasizing his adherence to religious principles in his performances.
